Pacific Hypermarket & Departmental Store Sdn. Bhd. was incorporated in Malaysia on 27 September 1995 under the Companies Act, 1965 as a private limited company. The company is principally involved in hypermarket and departmental store business with investment holdings.

Pacific Hypermarket & Departmental Store carries a wide assortment of merchandise, ranging from fresh market, groceries, sundries, and toiletries; to apparels, cosmetics, footwear, furniture, electrical and household items.

The business concept of Pacific Hypermarket and Departmental Store Sdn. Bhd. can be expressed as follow:-

• Hypermarket business is conceptualized with the aim of offering more value for shopping in a no-frills environment. "Jimat Setiap Hari", this motto serves as a focal point in Pacific's concept, where quality goods are offered at reasonable prices and is one of the main attraction factors for shopping at Pacific hypermarkets.

• Departmental store outlets are a highly-targeted retail business with merchandise and goods that appeal more to fashion-conscious shoppers. It is a specialty-driven store that offers a wide variety of choices to fulfill the demand of today's upwardly-mobile customers. The Store Corporation Berhad has been listed on Bursa Malaysia since 3 March 1994. The Store Group also operates hypermarkets through its wholly-owned subsidiary Pacific Hypermarket & Departmental Store Sdn. Bhd. At present, the Pacific group has 7 outlets at Star Parade and Alor Star Mall (both in Alor Star, Kedah), Megamal Pinang in Seberang Perai Tengah, Pulau Pinang, KB Mall in Kota Bharu, Kelantan, Batu Pahat Mall in Batu Pahat, Johore and the new outlets at Pacific Komtar in Georgetown, Pulau Pinang and Kluang Mall in Kluang, Johore.
