In conjunction with the month of Ramadan, 50 underprivileged children from Rumah Kebajikan Nur Hati were treated to a Majlis Berbuka Puasa feast where they enjoyed a scrumptious dinner. They mingled cheerfully with the event sponsors while enjoying mouth-watering dishes.
Prior to the breaking of fast that evening, the children from the home went on a shopping spree to purchase new clothes for Hari Raya, sponsored by Dialog Group Berhad, MyKasih Foundation and Adibah Noor. The children were also able to purchase learning necessities for school such as school bags or stationery.
“We hope our contributions have brought cheer to the children so that they can embrace the Ramadan month and look forward to celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri”, said Adibah Noor, The Store Group’s Ambassador, who joined the shopping spree.
Present at the Buka Puasa feast were General Manager of Syarikat Faiza Sdn. Bhd. Dr. Salwa Abu Bakar, MyKasih Foundation Trustee, Puan Siti Khairon; M3 Mall Executive Director, Mr. Albert Chua; The Store Group Executive Director Mr. William Tang; The Store Group Softline & Hardline Director, Mr.Charlie Tan, The Store Group Operation Senior General Manager, Mr. Winky Pek; and The Store Group Softline & Hardline General Manager, The Store Group General Manager of Supermarket.
In spreading the spirit of giving during this festive season, the children were presented with Hari Raya Goodies Bag and Raya Packets. The Store’s mascot added some excitement to the joyous occasion by distributing balloons to the children.

Speaking at the event, Winky Pek explained that The Store Group conducted 5 buka puasa events this year - at Pacific Branch KB Mall, Alor Star Mall, BP Mall, Taiping Mall and The Store M3 Mall. The Store M3 Mall is the third session to host the Majlis Berbuka Puasa.
Also on the same day, The Store Group takes this opportunity to launch The Store Group Anniversary Contest, Anniversary Exciting Rewards and the Pyrolex Borosilicate Glass Redemption Program to thank the customers for their years of supports. The Store Group is giving away Toyota Sienta and Proton Ertiga for this coming Anniversary Contest. With every RM50 shopping at The Store or Pacific or RM30 shopping at Milimewa, customers stand a chance for lucky draw.
